How do I get my puppy to like water?

Well my german shepard hates the water... but we try to get her in anyways... we've gotten her in a few times by throwing the frisbee into the lake and thn walking away and "forgetting" it there... so instead of leaving it my dog goes after it so we can still play.... idk... thats my dog... probably wont work on ur dog...
