You are thinking about Peter and Dan Snow's Battlefield doentaries The first one was called Battlefield Britain -which I think included the one about Romans -v-Celts.They have also sone 20th Century Battlefield covering WW1 WW2 etc.etc.It currently re-running on Freeview's UK History Channel.
